Measure the seating arrangement, not just the room. Start by checking whether the front legs of the seats can sit on the rug, then allow clear walking routes. Mark the outline on the floor before ordering.

As a starting point, allow around 60–75 cm beyond each side of the table. Pull the chairs out as you would when sitting down and check that all chair legs remain on the rug. Also check walls, doors and walking space.

Use the outside dimensions of the bed frame and decide where you want to step onto the rug. Check bedside furniture and door clearance. A bed-size name alone is not enough to confirm the rug dimensions.
