Skeptical about wool in Queensland heat, but it’s been a dream

Was dead against wool initially thinking it’d feel heavy and trap heat during our muggy summers. Ended up chatting with their team and went for the 240x300 cm in pure wool anyway. Best decision ever. It stays surprisingly cool underfoot, vacuums like a treat after our golden retriever brings half the yard inside, and unrolled perfectly flat. Worth every dollar.

Took a chance on the 8x10 for our main living room totally kid proof

I spent two months debating this because I couldn't see the texture in person and was terrified our toddlers and dog would ruin expensive wool. Took the plunge 8 weeks ago. A whole mug of juice got knocked over on day four blotted it immediately with warm water and there isn't a single trace left. The knot density on this is next level.

Delivered to the Sunshine Coast without a scratch worth the wait

Living regional, ordering oversized items usually means dealing with useless couriers or damaged packaging. This came tightly wrapped in heavy-duty waterproof casing, delivered right to our verandah. We went for the 180x270 cm in natural wool. The weave is rock solid, feels brilliant underfoot, and tied our coastal living room together effortlessly.

Dead set stunning took the punt on a 240x300 cm and zero regrets

Was proper nervous dropping this kind of cash on a rug online, thinking if the colours looked dodgy in our lounge I'd be stuck paying a fortune to post it back. Didn't need to worry. The wool quality is cracking and the earthy tones look unreal against our spotted gum floors. Unrolled completely flat by that evening. Worth every week spent on the loom.

Saved our feet on freezing Fitzroy timber floors

Melbourne winters on uninsulated floorboards are brutal. The wait for weaving was well worth it the thick wool pile is a total game changer for barefoot mornings. Shed lightly for two weeks as warned, then settled down completely.

Fits our Wellington townhouse layout spot on

Standard sizes in local furniture shops just weren't working with our narrow lounge setup. We commissioned custom dimensions, and it arrived wrapped super tough against the Wellington rain. The New Zealand wool pile is dense, ultra-plush, and settled within two weeks.

Absolute dream on our villa’s polished kauri floors

We were a bit hesitant about shipping a massive hand-knotted rug across to Auckland, but the transit tracking was smooth as. It unrolled completely flat over our old kauri floorboards and keeps the front lounge so warm when the southerly draught hits. Pure quality, sweet as.

Unbelievably sturdy in our busy hallway

The jute and hemp flatweave in our entryway takes daily foot traffic from kids and guests. Six months in, it hasn't stretched, frayed, or lost shape.

Colours are even richer in person than online

Buying rugs online is intimidating, but the earthy tones and texture matched the product photos accurately actually even better under natural sunlight.

Stays fresh in Freo’s sea breeze and coastal humidity

Natural fibres near the ocean can sometimes get that heavy, damp feeling, but the cotton and jute flatweave breathes exceptionally well. Spills wipe up easily, and it anchors our living room lounge perfectly.

Heaps softer than expected, settled down after a fortnight

Reckoned a pure wool rug would shed forever with our Kelpie running around. It lost a few loose fibres for the first two weeks (exactly as they warned), then settled completely. Super thick underfoot for cold Melbourne mornings on timber floors.

Handles the brutal Noosa UV and summer downpours

Our outdoor deck gets blasted by sun all afternoon. We’ve had the outdoor polypropylene rug out there through a full Queensland summer and torrential downpours zero fading, no mildew, and drains instantly. Stoked with it

Fits our narrow Paddington terrace down to the millimetre

Anyone living in an inner-city terrace knows standard rug sizes rarely work with the awkward fireplaces and narrow skirtings. We commissioned a custom flatweave. The team checked our specs twice and the fit is spot on. Proper craftsmanship, mate.

Holds up perfectly in Singapore’s heat and humidity

I was worried about natural fibres in tropical weather, but the cotton flatweave stays cool, dry, and fresh. No damp feeling or musty odors under constant air conditioning.

The 30-day trial gave me total peace of mind

I would never spend this much on a rug online without a safety net. Knowing I could return it made all the difference, but the moment it was unrolled, we kept it.

Handles two golden retrievers without a hitch

With two heavy-shedding dogs, I was terrified of wool. The weave is so dense that dirt sits on top, and a quick vacuum keeps it spotless. Spills blot right up.

They saved me from buying the wrong size

I was convinced I needed an 8x10 for my living room, but after I sent pictures, their team recommended a 9x12 so the front sofa legs rested on it. It completely transformed the space.

They talked me into a smaller size

I sent measurements and they told me the size I had picked was too big for the room. It cost them money and they said it anyway. That is why I trusted the rest.

Better than the photos

The colour is deeper in person and the pile is dense enough that the sofa legs leave no permanent mark. Six months in and it still looks new.

Shed for a few weeks, then stopped

They warned me it would shed at first and it did, for about three weeks. Now nothing. Delivery took nine days and duties were already paid at checkout.

Before you order

The questions we actually get asked

Straight answers on sizing, shipping, duties and returns. If yours is not here, ask us and we will add it.

Still deciding?

Tell us the room and we will send you an honest size recommendation, even if that means a smaller rug than you were about to buy.

Talk to a person
Do you ship to my country?

We ship worldwide from the workshop with tracking from the day it leaves. Enter your country at checkout to see the exact rate and estimated delivery window before you pay.

Will I be charged import duties?

We cover all import duties. The price you see at checkout is the final price you pay there are no surprise bills or extra fees delivered to your door.

What size rug do I need?

As a rule, the front legs of your seating should sit on the rug in a living room, and a bedroom rug should extend at least 60cm past the sides of the bed. Send us your measurements and we will confirm before you order.

How does the 30-day room trial work?

Unroll it and live with it. If it is wrong for the room within thirty days, contact us and we will arrange the return. The rug needs to be in the condition it arrived in, minus normal use.

Why is a hand-knotted rug more expensive?

Because a person made it. A single rug takes weeks on the loom, knot by knot, which is also why it lasts decades rather than a few years and can be repaired rather than replaced.

Will it shed?

Wool rugs shed lightly for the first few weeks as loose fibres work free. Vacuum gently without a beater bar and it settles. If it is still shedding heavily after two months, tell us, because that is not normal.

How do I clean it?

Vacuum weekly, blot spills immediately rather than rubbing, and rotate the rug twice a year so it wears evenly. A professional wash every three to five years keeps the pile open.
