About this rug

Ticking is an ivory and taupe stripe, drawn fine and horizontal, ending in fringe. The rug is handwoven flat in India from recycled denim and cotton, so the stripes carry slight tonal variation from the fabric. Flatweave means no pile at all. Fringe can twist, so comb it with your fingers now and then.

Living rooms and bedrooms where you want a calm, flat floor. It sits well beside a bed or under a low sofa. Use a rug pad on timber, since a flatweave can slide.

Care
  • Vacuum on suction only.
  • Blot spills straight away with a clean cloth and a little cold water.
  • Shake small sizes outdoors to lift dust.
  • Turn the rug now and then so it wears evenly.
  • Use a rug pad on hard floors so the rug stays flat and does not slip.
  • For a deep clean, use a professional rug cleaner.

Questions

Before you buy

A few things to know before ordering.

Talk to a rug specialist →

Are tax and shipping included?

Yes. Prices include tax and shipping is free worldwide.

How long will my rug take?

Handwoven and hand-tufted rugs generally take 4–6 weeks to make and deliver to your home. Hand-knotted rugs take around 13–14 weeks.

Can I get it in another size?

Choose “Custom size” beside the sizes above. Enter your dimensions and email, and we’ll confirm the options, price and timing.

Can I see the colour before I order?

A sample can help you check colour and texture in your room. Tell us which rug you’re considering and we’ll confirm the sample options and timing. Ask about a sample.

Will a new wool rug shed?

New wool rugs can shed loose fibres at first. Gentle, regular vacuuming helps. If you’re concerned about your rug, send us a photo and we’ll help.

How do I look after it?

Vacuum weekly without a beater bar, blot spills with a dry white cloth, rotate every 6–12 months and use a rug pad. Full care guide.

Do you work with interior designers?

Yes — trade pricing from your first order. Trade program.
