About this rug
A raised grid and border in dove grey, all one tone, so the squares read as light and shadow. The pile is low. It is hand-knotted in India from New Zealand wool. The grid is made by hand, so lines may run slightly off true. Check the size you need against the room before ordering.
A dining room, where the grid sits under the table and chairs, or a living room with a pale sofa. In a hallway, choose the 120 x 180 cm size only if the passage is wide enough.

| 160 x 230 cm | Under a coffee table with the front legs of a 2–3 seat sofa on it. Also a small bedroom. |
| 190 x 290 cm | Most living rooms, with the front legs of every seat on the rug. Under a queen bed. |
| 8 x 10 ft | Larger living rooms and open-plan spaces. Under a king bed, or a dining table for six. |
Measuring. Leave 30–45 cm (12–18 in) of floor showing around the rug. Under a dining table, allow 60 cm (24 in) beyond each side so chairs stay on the rug when pulled out.
Handmade rugs can vary slightly from the stated size. Need a different size? Ask us about the measurements you need and we’ll confirm the options.
Care
- Vacuum once a week on suction only, with the beater bar off.
- Blot spills straight away with a clean, dry cloth. Do not rub.
- Wool sheds a little in the first weeks. Regular vacuuming clears it.
- Snip any loose end level with the pile. Never pull it.
- Turn the rug every six months so it wears and fades evenly.
- Use a rug pad on hard floors so the rug stays flat and does not slip.
- For a deep clean, use a professional rug cleaner.
