About this rug
Brook runs a single denim-blue stripe down a field of natural hemp, like a canal across a plain. Hemp is a plant fibre, with a ribbed, slightly dry texture. The denim is recycled. It is handwoven flat in India in the punja style. Flatweave rugs have no pile, so it feels firm underfoot.
Living rooms and bedrooms with blue-and-white linen, pale timber or rattan. Lay it in front of a sofa or at the foot of a bed. A rug pad stops a flat rug creeping on timber.

Measuring. Leave 30–45 cm (12–18 in) of floor showing around the rug. Under a dining table, allow 60 cm (24 in) beyond each side so chairs stay on the rug when pulled out.

Care
- Vacuum on suction only.
- Blot spills straight away with a clean cloth and a little cold water.
- Shake small sizes outdoors to lift dust.
- Turn the rug now and then so it wears evenly.
- Use a rug pad on hard floors so the rug stays flat and does not slip.
- For a deep clean, use a professional rug cleaner.

How long will my rug take?
Handwoven and hand-tufted rugs generally take 4–6 weeks to make and deliver to your home. Hand-knotted rugs take around 13–14 weeks.

Can I see the colour before I order?
A sample can help you check colour and texture in your room. Tell us which rug you’re considering and we’ll confirm the sample options and timing. Ask about a sample.
Will a new wool rug shed?
New wool rugs can shed loose fibres at first. Gentle, regular vacuuming helps. If you’re concerned about your rug, send us a photo and we’ll help.
How do I look after it?
Vacuum weekly without a beater bar, blot spills with a dry white cloth, rotate every 6–12 months and use a rug pad. Full care guide.
