About this rug

Mottled lines like brickwork cross a blue-grey surface, uneven in the way rain streaks a wall. The pile is low, and the viscose gives it a soft sheen. Wool and viscose are knotted by hand in India, so the mottling is never the same twice.

Living rooms and bedrooms in a muted palette of linen, grey and pale timber. The mottled surface gives a quiet room something to look at without adding colour.

Size & fit
120 x 180 cmBeside a bed, at an entrance, or under a coffee table in a small room.
160 x 230 cmUnder a coffee table with the front legs of a 2–3 seat sofa on it. Also a small bedroom.
190 x 290 cmMost living rooms, with the front legs of every seat on the rug. Under a queen bed.
8 x 10 ftLarger living rooms and open-plan spaces. Under a king bed, or a dining table for six.

Measuring. Leave 30–45 cm (12–18 in) of floor showing around the rug. Under a dining table, allow 60 cm (24 in) beyond each side so chairs stay on the rug when pulled out.

Handmade rugs can vary slightly from the stated size. Need a different size? Ask us about the measurements you need and we’ll confirm the options.

Care
  • Vacuum on suction only, following the direction of the pile.
  • Keep it dry. Water marks viscose, so blot spills with a dry cloth at once and do not use water or cleaning sprays.
  • The sheen changes with the direction of the pile. Brushing it one way evens it out.
  • Best for rooms with light foot traffic.
  • Use a rug pad on hard floors so the rug stays flat and does not slip.
  • Have it professionally dry cleaned.

Questions

Before you buy

A few things to know before ordering.

Talk to a rug specialist →

Are tax and shipping included?

Yes. Prices include tax and shipping is free worldwide.

How long will my rug take?

Handwoven and hand-tufted rugs generally take 4–6 weeks to make and deliver to your home. Hand-knotted rugs take around 13–14 weeks.

Can I get it in another size?

Choose “Custom size” beside the sizes above. Enter your dimensions and email, and we’ll confirm the options, price and timing.

Can I see the colour before I order?

A sample can help you check colour and texture in your room. Tell us which rug you’re considering and we’ll confirm the sample options and timing. Ask about a sample.

Will a new wool rug shed?

New wool rugs can shed loose fibres at first. Gentle, regular vacuuming helps. If you’re concerned about your rug, send us a photo and we’ll help.

How do I look after it?

Vacuum weekly without a beater bar, blot spills with a dry white cloth, rotate every 6–12 months and use a rug pad. Full care guide.

Do you work with interior designers?

Yes — trade pricing from your first order. Trade program.
