About this rug
Broad ivory and tan stripes run the length of this rug, with touches of grey in the weave. The surface is ribbed and corded, and the pile sits low. Jute and wool are handwoven together in India, so stripe widths and edges vary slightly from one rug to the next.
Living rooms and bedrooms where a calm, natural base is wanted under sofas or at the foot of a bed. Jute is coarser than wool, so it suits shoes better than bare feet at the bedside.

Measuring. Leave 30–45 cm (12–18 in) of floor showing around the rug. Under a dining table, allow 60 cm (24 in) beyond each side so chairs stay on the rug when pulled out.

Care
- Vacuum on suction only, with the beater bar off.
- Blot spills straight away with a clean, dry cloth. Do not rub.
- Let the rug dry flat in open air if it gets damp.
- Snip any loose end level with the surface. Never pull it.
- Turn the rug every six months so it wears evenly.
- Use a rug pad on hard floors so the rug stays flat and does not slip.
- For a deep clean, use a professional rug cleaner.

How long will my rug take?
Handwoven and hand-tufted rugs generally take 4–6 weeks to make and deliver to your home. Hand-knotted rugs take around 13–14 weeks.

Can I see the colour before I order?
A sample can help you check colour and texture in your room. Tell us which rug you’re considering and we’ll confirm the sample options and timing. Ask about a sample.
Will a new wool rug shed?
New wool rugs can shed loose fibres at first. Gentle, regular vacuuming helps. If you’re concerned about your rug, send us a photo and we’ll help.
How do I look after it?
Vacuum weekly without a beater bar, blot spills with a dry white cloth, rotate every 6–12 months and use a rug pad. Full care guide.
